The SKAID Women & Youth Empowerment Grant is a strategic intervention to bridge the economic gap faced by the less privileged in Southern Kaduna.
We provide micro-grants and entrepreneurial support, helping transform ideas into income-generating ventures that boost self-reliance, job creation, and community resilience.
On November 15, 2024, we opened the doors to possibility with the launch of the SKAID Women and Youth Empowerment Grant. In just a few short weeks, we were met with an overwhelming response — over 2,000 applications flooded in from across the region.
Each application was a story of resilience, ambition, and the urgent need for support. This remarkable turnout underscored a hard truth: thousands of women and youth-led businesses are striving to grow, but are held back by limited access to capital and essential knowledge.
This year, we took a bold step forward to bring this transformative vision to life by awarding funding to 1,000 women entrepreneurs. These grants are more than financial aid — they are fuel for ideas, support for silent struggles, and a vote of confidence in the power of women to drive sustainable change in their communities.
We believe that when you empower a woman, you uplift a family, a community, and ultimately, a nation. Through mentorship, capacity building, and financial empowerment, we are not just supporting businesses — we are nurturing leaders and change-makers.
