A Year of Measurable Impact
Through strategic interventions and partnerships, SKAID Foundation expanded access to healthcare, strengthened educational opportunities, supported women-led livelihoods, and empowered young people with practical skills for sustainable economic growth.
Expanding Access to Healthcare
Across five local government areas in Kaduna State, SKAID Foundation delivered free medical outreach programmes designed to bring essential healthcare services closer to underserved communities.
The outreaches provided:
- General medical consultations
- Surgical procedures
- Eye care and cataract surgeries
- Dental care services
- Medications and pharmaceutical support
- Eyeglasses and vision support
Thousands of individuals who previously lacked access to quality healthcare received life-changing treatment and care through these interventions.
Investing in Education
Education remains central to our long-term vision for community transformation.
Through the SKAID Scholarship Scheme, undergraduate students across higher institutions received financial support covering tuition, accommodation, and living expenses — helping reduce financial barriers that prevent many young people from completing their education.
Beyond financial support, the Foundation continued to strengthen engagement with scholars through monitoring, mentorship, and impact evaluation initiatives.
Empowering Youth Through Skills Development
In 2025, SKAID Foundation partnered with the Maryamu & Yakubu Skills Development and Educational Foundation to implement a comprehensive Trade & Skill Acquisition Programme focused on economic empowerment and employability.
Participants received practical training in:
- Solar installation
- Electrical and electronic repairs
- Welding and fabrication
- Beauty care and makeup artistry
Graduates also received starter packs and tools to support immediate income generation and entrepreneurship opportunities.
Supporting Women-Led Livelihoods
Women remain at the heart of community resilience and economic stability.
Through the Women Empowerment Grant Programme, SKAID Foundation provided financial support to women entrepreneurs across Southern Kaduna to help strengthen small businesses and household income.
The initiative was implemented through community-led beneficiary selection processes in partnership with local traditional institutions to ensure transparency, inclusion, and grassroots participation.
Partnerships for Sustainable Development
Throughout the year, SKAID Foundation strengthened relationships with government institutions, development organizations, and private sector stakeholders to expand the reach and sustainability of its programmes.
